August:
August watches Sig quickly pass her and run forward stopping in front the new wolf. She notices the wolf raise alert to Sig's greeting. This didn't look like it would pan out well. She slows to a stop and watches as she feels her defense grow. August quietly creeps trying to avoid being noticed by the unfamiliar wolf. She tucks her head and watches the wolves. She trots to Sigurd's side making it obvious she was judging the new wolf. August was trying to tell if she should pick a fight with the new wolf or not. She narrows her eyes watching the wolf for any reason to attack. "Who are you and how did you find us?" She steps a little closer to Sig feeling like she needed to protect him and hoping he felt the same about her. August's hackles began to raise and her ears tilted downward. She lifted her front right paw and watched the new female.

Whisper paused, scenting the arrival of the second wolf she had originally heard. She tensed waiting for an attack, but instead a female wolf came darting in behind the white wolf. Whisper realized the wolf felt slightly weary of her and she could understand that, but sneaking around and listening and watching them from afar was slightly annoying. The female was being defensive rather than offensive however so she paid it not mind waiting for her to decide to show herself. Whisper paused wondering what the wolf thought she was doing for only a moment before the stranger pad up near the white wolf and gaver her a harsh stare. She knew that she was formulating her first impression and Whisper kept her casual posture as she waited for the wolf to test her. Giver he one reason. She thought for a moment, as she took a dislike at the female as she sized her up, she would probably lose that fight though, she wasn't a good fighter. She knew that the female felt the aggression as well as she almost leaned forward ready to attack Whisper, making her withold a smirk, she had been ready to flee from the moment she neared border lines and yet this wolf was just now considering attack and realising an intruder on their borders? Maybe she had misjudged this pack, maybe she was the one who needed to test them. The wolf narrowed her eyes at her, but Whisper took an inward breath appearing to remain calm as she wanted to rip the intestines out of the female as she all but snarled the questions at her. The female also stepped in front of the white wolf, and a thought flashed across her mind; mates? Her eyes took in the white wolf, maybe not yet, but it was a good way to get to the other. She resisted the urge to sneer at the wolf of course she could find them, she would have to have been deaf not to hear the racket they were causing, and it was usually polite to give your name before asking another wolf's name. None of these words showed on her face for an instant as her casual features twisted into those of a friendly wolf. The female would need convincing as she rose her hackles at her, but Whisper thought that she might be able to convince the she devil that she wasn't here to attack the pack. She thought almost spitting at the word, but keeping her expression friendly. Not venomous, but she thought that would be an easy one to do. Whisper contemplated her words before saying in an upbeat and happy tone that she hadn't felt in a while "I'm Whisper." She laid her ears back, swallowing her pride and even tucking her tail in; she wouldn't feel bad if the female or male in front of her had a higher rank. Right now she was showing signs of submission and peace not even to the betas of the pack, but she didn't show it as she said softly "I'm sorry if I was intruding; I heard voices and scented the territory lines, I came to see if you were part of the pack." She wondered how much confidence they would show now. How they would react to a more submissive and friendly wolf. She didn't know, but she cared enough to put on the act. Not that that counted for much she felt like most of the time she spent now was with a mask on.

Echo had been walking for almost hours looking for prey. The last few days for her trying to find food didn't go so well, so she decided to venture off farther in find of food, but even so she was always distracted by the littlest of things such as sounds that she often took after chasing just to find it was just her hearing things - or was she really hearing things? The large female soon caught scent of a rabbit and she felt her fur perk with excitement. Finally her long wondering had paid off; somewhat. Crouching close to the earth she slowly padded towards the smell, all her senses on high alert. She wasn't sure where the rabbit was exactly located in the small area, but she sure didn't want to let it know her presence by being uncareful. Finally. Soon she could see the rabbit, but it couldn't see her luckily because she was well hidden in the thick growth of the forest. Creeping forward slowly her muscles were tense, and her tongue is almost about ready to leap out her mouth to rip into the rabbit. Then everything had went from good to bad, stepping on a twig the rabbit alerted it's gaze to where she was, then a split second, it burst off deeper into the forest. Jumping to her paws, she springs forward clearing the bush that once held her cover; her powerful hind legs thrusting her after the rabbit. She began gaining ground on the small rabbit and it knew it. It swirled through trees and ripped through turf leaves and dirt flying behind it. Echo with ease keeped on the rabbits trail only four feet behind and gaining when all of a sudden scents of wolves flowed through her nose. Other wolves? She began to lose train of thought, did she venture to far into a pack's territory? Was she going to get into trouble? As these thoughts crossed her mind, she was unaware the rabbit had taken a sharp left to avoid the cliff that she was blazing to. With all her might, she tried to skid to a halt her, but that just made her entire body flip up as her legs hit a large fallen stump. Echo began tumbling uncontrollably closer and closer to the cliff until she felt nothing but vigorous of twigs jabbing her, and dirt getting into her eyes and nose as she fell down the cliff. Everything was blurry and unclear as she went; it seemed like almost forever until she finally stopped in front of the confrontation of the three wolves sprawled on the ground Dazed and confused. When her sense came back to realitly, she looked up only to find one wolf on the side of her firmly holding her place, and two wolves to her left that look very cautious at the female ready to attack if provoked. Great, now look what you got yourself into Echo. She scolded herself in her mind before rising to her paws and became greatly worried, maybe she wasn't the only one here who came unexpectedly. Shaking clumps of dirt and leaves from her pelt she took another glance at the other two wolves trying to play it cool. Not only was it probably a shock to them, but they were probably furiously agravted that she had made such an entrance on the confliction. Then her eyes darted between the two studying them, mates? She assumed that it could be very possible seeing how the small b lack wolf hung closely to the white wolfs side almost like glue. Echo back up just a little of perhaps things got out of control, she could make a run for it before anything could happen to her. Tilting her head, she then analysis the female that seemed to be their main concern. Echo kind of felt the urge to ask what happened, but decided to keep her mouth shut because it always seemed to get her in more trouble then she already was in. Maybe if she acted submissive- just maybe it would lighten her burden of intruding? Her mind filled these with questions and confusion and she found it hard to think straight.

Whisper was about finished acting submissive. They had not done anything new so far and it was almost boring her to tears. At least do something interesting, she was ready to flee if need be so they could even attack at this point, she doubted much would surprise her. It was not the tension that she minded; she could deal with that even if it was uncomfortable, or the silence; because she was used to it, it was the boredom. They really needed to decide what to do with her it was beginning to become irritating.
Whisper paused, there was another presence, immediately her ears were alert, but she still tried to remain submissive. Hard though while another was there. Perhaps another one of the pack? Scenting the air, not really caring about the others; no this wolf was not of the pack, and it was a female. She sighed inwardly. Why were there so many wolves around, she only sought interaction with these two. And it had been going fine. The black one was very entertaining. In fact she might have enjoyed that conversation. Another scent however drifted into her awareness. Rabbit. She almost rolled her eyes: almost, but she did not. This wolf must not be very smart if it did not notice the territory lines and actually chased prey into them. A wandering wolf a pack might let off with only a warning, but a wolf hunting it's prey? She wondered if she would be able to see the kill as it happened. It woudl be interesting to see what this wolf pack would do to an intruder.
Only one had been truly aggressive so maybe they were a more passive pack, and had simply had the luck to come across good territory that no others had sought out. She could see that happening, but the chances were slim to none. Most of the packs she had come across with such vast territories were either obsessed with getting new members for their ever growing land or extremely aggressive over what they had. The difference was startling. This pack though seemed fairly balanced from what she had seen. Maybe these wolves were new to the pack and had not picked up the vibe on how it treated outsiders. She could see it being possible, although the black one had loyalty she had not seen displayed to a novice. Maybe she was misjudging everything. The thought unsettled her.
The wolf she had scented drew nearer and she found herself wondering if the others had not detected it. Though still she found it doubtful seeing as how much of a racket the wolf was making. Certainly not making too much of an effort to hide its presence in foreign lands. Then again these wolves must be fairly deaf seeing as they wondered how she had seen them coming. How foolish were these wolves around her. No more a fool than you. A tiny voice said in her head before she squashed it out. She wasn't a fool it was the world that was foolish and cruel. Usually she was correct in what she understood and she understood this. This wasn't like anything else she understood how to be around other wolves and how a pack worked. Even if she had never been in one. The thought was reproachful.
How annoying maybe there was something wrong with these wolves if they were provoking thoughts to fly into her head with unseen voices and unheralded thoughts. She sighed, this time aloud, allowing her mask to break for a fraction of a second. She was tired, she did not want to deal with this aggression however amusing it might be to see the black wolf sputter with rage, or the white wolf stand there trying to be stoic. Trying was just never good enough. It never was and never really would be. Why did they all pretend? It never really got anyone anywhere unless you need something right then. Still, its not like these were thought she had every day she tried to convince herself as she sucked back everything that that been there for that fraction of a second into herself as she gazed with contempt at the pair. Let them think whatever they want about her contempt and rage. If they thought that was the real her then that was probably better than what really was her.
The scent of the approaching wolf grew closer and she couldn't help but feel annoyed now; she was having a moment. But the wolf came skidding to a stop, comically tumbling down. And if she was in a position to she would have laughed. Instead she only glared at the wolf. She didn't even know this stranger's name, but that did nto matter. She was making a first impression. If she wanted them to believe then. The stranger was covered in mud and leaves from when she flipped over, but almost miraciously the wolf regained conciousness, and continued to be sprawled out on the ground as if flung there by some imaginary force and then held there. She kept her eyes on the pair of wolves before taking time to examine this one. It was not a red wolf like her, but she did not think that the color of her pelt was black. Taking in the details to examine later she watched as the wolf observed all of them. She could be more subtle.
But then thinking about the female's entrance she doubted that subtlety was something she was gifted at. Actually she flat out did not think that that was something that this wolf could do at all. Though she would have to be ready if the wolf really was sublte. It could be something usefull that the wolf stowed away. The wolf's confusion seemed clear to her, but she guessed that the wolf would be confused seeing as it had flung itself into this situation. However it was her fault in the first place so why the wolf was completely bewildered she had no way of knowing. Wolves could be rather foolish and annoying at times and she guessed that it was just something that this wolf was particularly good at. As the wolf continued to wear it's confused expression she amended her thought. No not good at at all. wolves mentioned: Echo, August, Sigurd| wolves addressed: none|OOC: ha ha, okay|

As the moments passed, things began to feel awkward to Echo. No one was talking, instead there were silent glare. As much as Echo wanted to hightail it back to where she came from, she decided it wasn't very friendly. Awkwardly swinging her tail back and forth, she turned her gaze to the red wolf. Odd, red?
Echo had never seen such a color on a wolf, she wouldn't even imagined wolves came in that color! Yet there was so little she knew about the outside world even though she lived and breathed in it everyday.
Echo then turned her gaze downward to the forest floor. Staring was always impolite, and she surely didn't want to seem as a rude individual. Echo wanted to say hi, she really did, but what if she said something stupid like she always did? C'mon Echo! No screw ups! But before she knew it, a completely off topic had fled from her lips. "I've never seen a red wolf before."
She felt like slapping herself; she was embarrassed by her comment and gave her all the more reason to take a fast break before she said anything else retarded. She slightly lifted her gaze though, curious to see how the red wolf would respond, or if she was planning on ripping echos fur out.

Whisper paused, she was unsure of how to approach this wolf, it wasn't speaking, being aggressive, or being overly submissive. Maybe it was just not very bright and had very little personality. She was irked though by the lack of interaction between the four of them. What an odd quartet the thought sprang into her mind. Sighing the wind joined her ruffling her pelt slightly making her hold back a shiver. She really liked the snow and autumn, the way her pelt didn't stand out as much and molded with the earth; but her fur was not always suited for it like some wolves. She envied the wolf in front of her who was probably comfortably cool right now. The wolf met her gaze as she realized that she had been staring. She did not feel awkward as the wolf had made quite a spectacle of herself here, but she quickly covered it up with a more haughty look. To some measure it was true, the wolf had not been graceful and had rudely interrupted, but she was curious and was not judging the wolf yet. She would begin to once the wolf gave her something to judge.
She paused, the wolf was examining her. She wondered what about her there was worth examining. Perhaps she was searching for any sign of a threat. Wanting to be seen as ambiguous she was neither threatening nor friendly. She had not entered this; she could not exactly call it a conversation, but more of group? Meeting? What should she even call this? Exchange...The wolf pondered over what was happening as she waited for the wolf to realize she was staring, or at least make a comment. What with nothing happening besides the calming movement of the earth she was about ready to make some action herself, and she was socially deficient so that would not turn out very well.
The female wolf kept a smirk off her face as the wolf averted her gaze downwards. The other two wolves made no move against the individual or her. She was worried about what they would do, but she did not see them as an immediate threat. Still she made sure her paws were light on the ground so that she could flee if necessary. She did not want to pick a fight unless she thought that she would get something out of losing as she had no doubt that against one of these wolves she would lose with injury; against two? she would be lucky to escape with her life for the next few hours. Making the fact that this wolf was blatantly staring at her and not at all worried or showing any interest in the pair of wolves whose territory she was intruding on very odd. The wolf was either stupid, foolish, or brave; and none of those adjectives were very respectable to her.
Suddenly the wolf spoke. Now she understood. Personally she never thought her coat color odd. Living with it all of her life she barely thought about it. She did not see the wolf as rude, simply curious and she could respect that. But still she forced herself to respond smartly "No introduction?" Then continuing before the wolf could possibly have a chance to respond she said "I'm a red wolf, it's a different kind of wolf. Have you never seen a white wolf? You yourself are a grey wolf? Or a Mexican wolf?" Then continuing as if she knew everything about the subject and had not just heard of these wolves in stories; well not the grey wolf or the white wolf "There are many different types of wolves." The wolf looked slightly nervous as if the words had come out of her mouth without intending to. She doubted then that the wolf was acting. It was not something that a wolf usually did. Carefully consider your words; she thought. wolves mentioned: August, Echo, Sigurd| wolves addressed: Echo|

Nanakin searched around scenting the air as he tried to identify the scents that came in through his nose. Frustrated the male sneezed. Shaking his head he meandered around wondering why everything smelled different. There was a slight tint to the air that he could not detect properly, but the male paid it no mind. Nanakin heard voices and smiled, goofy. Wolves. He wasn't sure that he wanted to be seen as dumb or ridiculed, but right now he was looking for a pack and this was the only way. So still grinning he walked over, his paw steps heavy on the ground. He was not worried as he did not think that they would harm a harmless visitor. Right? Not paying much attention he stumbled into the area where there were four wolves. He heard the voices of one of them. The red one. What a funny color for a wolf, the male thought. Quizzically he cocked his head as he looked between the two. Suddenly the male spoke not thinking much about what came out of his mouth as he wanted to join the pack and introduce himself "Hillo" the word registered, it was not the right word quickly he amended himself "HI'm Nanakin" Hopefully they thought that he was simply slurring the words. As Echo waited to see how the red wolf would respond, she twitched her ears - she was hearing things again, wasnt she? Curse these ears! She spat in her mind. Why did she have to be so different from others? Was it the main reason she was alone in the first place? If anything she thought of herself to be someone other wolves would enjoy being around but it was the complete opposite. She was loud, clumsy and most wolves would desperately try to aviod. Shaking her head slightly a thought of running away crossed her mind sharply.
Pawing the ground slightly she was ready to brace herself with whatever the wolf would send her way until she heard the red wolf finally speak. It wasn't something Echo would've expected the wolf to say or even react the way she did. No scolding? She questioned as her eyes carefully shot on the red colored wolf; Echos eyes had a deep questioning tone even if she didn't ask or talk. Introduce yourself, she said to herself managing all the courage she could muster. "I-I'm Echo." She sturtted and it seemed her tongue had swirled up in a large knot. She was never good with words around others and tried her best to keep to herself, but for some reason today she would make an exception."And I am deeply sorry for not introducing myself first hand. My apologies" Echo then bowed her head towards the red wolf before raising up again.
Before Echo could ask the name of her questioner, she smelled the presence of another wolf. Perking her ears alertly, she was at full attention. Flee? Stay? Flee? Stay? Stay! She found herself backing up in circles in confusion. At any moment she felt she would take a fast break; her stomach wide with nervousness but soon curiousity took it's place.
She Soon caught sight of another wolf coming their way. Squinting as if she couldn't see good Echo began to study this wolf to see if it posed a threat, or just simply passing by. When he spoke Echo was unsure what he had said until she put it together, "Hello." He was saying then he posted his name. Nanakin, she couldn't help but wag her tail as he spoke. But why did he come here? Did he think they were a pack?
"Hi, I'm Echo," she said thoughtfully still watching the new comer. Hopefully this wolf had no intentions of trying attack them.. Them? What? No, they weren't a group, heck they weren't even aquanences, but merely strangers passing by. Echo then twitched her ears before taking a closer step towards the newcomer. Why was she getting so close? She didn't know him, or the other wolf for a matter of fact. Speading her toes moisture from the wet forest floor damped her paws;she let in a small breath feeling her pelt perk a bit. She wasn't trying to look aggressive, but despite her size it made her look intimidating. she the began to feel uneasy because the fact that she was finally engaging in conversation with other wolves, something she hadn't done in a long long time. Surely after some time of talking to her, they would judge her- her past would be repeated.

The ground beneath her paws was solid as she swirled in her mind; almost bored out of it. Finally the wolf responded with her name at least. However it was done with little grace. She wondered if the wolf was simply not used to interacting with others and had trouble thinking of what to say or felt so socially deficient that she said little. She could understand that however it was still annoying to try and hold a conversation with such an individual. She wondered how all these wolves were coming over, seeing as there was a mountain range not too far from here. Although there were other ways in, so maybe there was a pack that was overflowing around a different border she had not come across. The wolf apologized, and even though her face never fell she was surprised. Either this wolf was wise or humble to the point of being submissive with surprised her slightly. Not in an off-putting way, simply a surprise. She had thought the wolf more curious and exuberant.
Suddenly another wolf's scent invaded her senses. It was a male, and she cast her gaze around the place, it was not overly open, but she did not think it an easy place to hide like a forest where smells could be easily masked and vision was almost never to be relied on. She thought she saw white before a male wolf came plodding down. she had to resist the urge to roll her eyes, just what they needed another wolf. She noticed the wolf tilted his head as if confused as he analyzed the situation before meandering down. Instantly he was not seen as very intelligent in her eyes. To not have noticed them before now she thought the wolf would have to be exceptionally brave; which he might be judging on his size, even though he showed no signs of aggression: or he would have to be incredibly stupid. She was guessing from his gait the latter. Then he spoke and there was no debate in her mind, this wolf was not intelligent. The way he slurred his words are recovery for a word that he could not think of fast enough came out rushed and only made him seem less intelligent. She took the moment to wonder if that was a reason he was kicked out of a pack. She new that sometimes packs would kick out the weaker and deficient members. She did not like that about them, how they would cast aside those who were weak; those who depended upon them. It was an unforgiving, foolish, and selfish system.
She noticed the new wolf, he did not make the quite the entrance that...Echo, had made, but he was still rather clumsy. Slightly confused at his lack of speaking skills she looked at him allowing the disdain in her features to predominate. She glanced at his appearance for a moment, a snowy white coat, and amber eyes. Rather odd, but she did not pay it much mind as she wondered what he was doing here. He seemed to be rather clueless about everything and she hoped that he did not expect anyone of them to fill him in on the situation as if he should have been there in the first place. She did not speak, wanting to see how the others reacted to this new wolf. Not to mention she was not sure that a wolf as pompous as herself would descend to speak with someone who was so obviously klutzy, disorganized, and stupid. He did not seem to possess much intelligence messing up his words. She wondered if she was much better though, she had rather messed up hers with the black wolf. Simply put however the black wolf had not been friendly and she could understand where even if she was being perfectly honest she would not exactly make an effort to befriend that wolf. She was not sure if she even knew the black wolf's name. Or the other white wolf's for that matter.
Whisper stood there, her tail had raised slightly without her consent making her appear dominant and aggressive, trying to quell that she lowered it down a small amount so she did not come across as wanting to pick a fight. Despite his lack of brains she had no doubt that this wolf was rather strong from his build. She felt how scrawny she would be in comparison the fight would not be much to behold and she would not want to be picking it any time soon. She scented no pack on him however so he was a lone wolf. Inwardly she wondered what a lone wolf was doing casually meandering into a clearing of two pack wolves and two other lone wolves. The mix was almost certain to be violent and negative in results. Maybe his mixture of stupidity and brawn allowed him to believe he would escape unharmed. She frowned again not a muscle twitching in her face. Those who thought about strength alone were foolish. Which was on some levels worse than stupid. What was stupid she thought annoyed was this wind as it again ruffled her pelt, not so much as to make the fur part but enough for her to feel it. She remained light on her feet though if this wolf was stupid enough to engage in a fight here. She would always be ready to flee.
She stayed away however as Echo moved closer to the male. She did not know what was happening, but she was apprehensive about the entire situation. All the sudden there were too many wolves, the two pack wolves, Echo, and this new wolf Nanakin. They did not overwhelm her but trying to keep her eyes on all of them at once was tiring and stressful. She wished that the two pack wolves would finally make their move. And she listened as Echo introduced herself to the wolf Nanakin curious as to how he would react. He seemed a rather odd wolf, but she knew that he could easily surprise them in the next few sentences she could have misjudged him. She did think it possible as in the space of only three words she had based his entire character off of.
With that in mind she listened careful not to back away, trying to gauge the mood of the interaction now that another wolf had been added to the mix. She was not sure now what was going to happen. Seeing as she was out of predictions. She knew that she was at loss here. A simple approach to ease her loneliness of two wolves had now turned into a full blown talk with four different strangers who she knew nothing about and in two cases their names. She realized though that they did not know her name. So she did have the upper hand in information gleaned. wolves mentioned: August, Echo, Nanakin, Sigurd| wolves addressed: none|

Nanakin stood there feeling stupid as not one of the wolves responded, but then he wasn't a very smart wolf. Maybe the others were simply trying to figure out what he said. He had said something strange and he silently cursed himself for it until the next moment he allowed the worry to pass over him. He notice that the Grey wolf was suddenly looking at him and he tried to appear engaged as he perked his ears forward to listen to her introduction. She had a really pretty name, Echo. It was nice. He wondered what he should say next. "I'm" he was about to say his name before he realized that he had already said that. He felt his heart beat get up as he wondered what he should say as the she wolf took a step towards his direction, and he could feel her electricity. He did not know what it meant. Suddenly he realized that he was suppose to talk. Trying to recover he smiled, opening his maw before closing it realizing that it might be seen as aggressive showing teeth. What should he say, he didn't really know, but he had to say something as he looked at the wolf. Oh right he knew what to say. "I'm very pleased to meet you Ma'am" It was something that his dad taught him to say. He was suppose to say it to which wolves though. His dad taught him one for girl wolves and another for boy wolves he always got the two mixed up. Did he say the right thing? He wasn't sure. Still a slight smile traced the wolf's lips as he was suddenly aware of the dirt clinging to his fur, and the dampness of his muddy paws that were coated in a layer of dirt. Echo briefly blinked her eyes at Nanakin and skewed her head to the side. There was definitely something bizarre about this wolf, maybe even mysterious. Echo began pondering in her mind what exactly it was that puzzled her about this wolf, but after a few moments she gave up on trying to figure what it was out.
Soon Nanakin spoke; Echo wasn't very sure on what he was talking about. "Ma'am?" She was the complete opposite of that, plus she never really consider herself, "lady like," to begin with in any of these regards. She wasn't never the one who was afraid to get her paws muddy, or complain about the rainy weather. In fact she loved being the elements, it gave her a sense of adventure, and determination to live on and unlock all life's secrets. But Echo could understand where This wolf was coming from. He wanted to be nice, and that's something Echo had never really experienced once in her lifetime.
Echo held her gaze for awhile longer studying the wolf like an artifact when suddenly a trait from Nanakin caught her mind and froze it. His eye color. They shined bright, almost like the sun which drew her attention in closer like a magnet. Such a pretty eye color she thought to herself. She wanted to blurt out that he had such a beautiful eye color, but would that just have put her off as more weird than she already was? Wolves don't just go around in other wolves faces and say stuff like, especially to strangers that they had only had saw a few minutes! Temptation creeped across her mind and she found it hard to fight back her words. No, don't! She heard herself scream in her mind but as soon as she had put her guards up, they seemed to have crashed down to the ground. "Whoa! You're eye color is pretty!" She beamed as her eyes scanned the male wolf. Echo bounced over to the wolf to get closer details.
She learned closer to see the wolfs eyes only inches away. All sense of personal space had been thrown out the door for Echo; curiously blinking at the wolf she wagged her tail like crazy mad. Looking to the red wolf she yelped cheerfully. "Look at his eye color! " Never had Echo seen something so.. She couldn't even bring her mind to the right words that could comprehend this moment. "..I wish my eyes were gold." Echo barked happily rather loud. Unconsciously she began twitching her ears back and forth as she looked into the wolf eyes, mesmerized.

Whisper decided that this conversation was about to get interesting; and was tempted to sit down, but the pack wolves, and the size of Nanakin stopped her. By now she did not think that Echo was an aggressive wolf and immediately disbanded the thought of Echo attacking her, but she would be ready in case the she wolf was more tricky that she was giving her credit for. She had come across a few situations were cockiness and underestimating your enemy could cost an injury, and she was glad that she had survived. It was nto like she had not deserved it, but she had never traveled so going on another's land did not seem to be much of a problem for her. She had been younger and while not naive she thought contemplatively fixing her eyes on the shoulder of the black wolf trying to think. She had been young, and that was all that needed saying.
Somehow it was much more easy to watch this conversation unfold than it was to engage in it. It was much easier to watch Echo try to interact and understand Nanakin than it would be for her herself to speak with the wolf. She did not really understand this, maybe it was because she did not like interacting. But if they would ignore her then that would turn the pack wolves' attentions away from her to the two livelier ones. So she would be able to slip away unnoticed. She did not know why she would not have done that yet, except for the fact that she thought it would be interesting to at least see how this was going to turn out. She knew that Nanakin's words were awkward and so was the wolf himself mud patching over some parts of his fur ,and his dipped paws meant that this wolf had either traveled near a stream and not bothered to dip his paws in every so often or he had not cleaned himself since the last rain. It was hard to detect his scent underneath the mud and wet however and she had no interest in trying if it meant that she would have to get closer to him. She did not mind getting dirty, but she did have limits. Here was one of them.
Observing these wolves she noticed that Echo too was giving the new wolf a once over, noticing every detail about the wolf. She tried to resist the urge to laugh, most wolves would be a little more subtle, but this wolf was like a mountain, always there, at some times wise, at some times making one curse, but never subtle. Never. She looked at the mountains. They were there, but this place was mostly grassy. She knew this territory extended far, but did it extend the entire mountain range? She thought it would make sense, and yet again she wondered by what circumstances these two came here. Still a place like this would be good for a fire and she immediately ratcheted up how much she paid attention to her scent. Suddenly a sound caught her ear before she relaxed, showing nothing except her paw relaxing on the ground. Echo had finally found her tongue. She resisted the urge to wince, she might as well say something intelligent if she was going to speak. She had heard the reference before that his eyes were an amber color, and she did not think it uncommon in wolves. In fact the opposite.
Still she saw Echo look over the wolf with new vigor as she noticed this trait. Whisper rolled her eyes hoping no one noticed as she heard the wolf yip at her to look at his eye color all the same time admiring the color herself. She saw the wolf begin to twitch and began to back away from Echo so that she was not caught in the way of the wolf's tail.
Sighing Whisper walked up closer to Nanakin, while the space of Echo separated her from the two wolves she felt a little more secure as she would only have to watch two. She felt the grass beneath her paws crackle a little bit. Making sure her tail stayed at mid-height not aggressive or dominant, but not submissive. She did not sit down, but seeing as the conversation was right now mostly between Nanakin and Echo she did not find it as necessary to stay light on her paws. Still if you looked extremely closely the muscles in her back legs tensed marginally more than the fore, so she was ready to spring away should any wolf see fit to attack her. She was not worried but she was cautious. She wondered if she was expected to respond to respond. Considering her words carefully she allowed her eyes to be haughty as she would not be impressed by Nanakin's eye color. Saying evenly she said not sure where to direct her gaze "It's a fairly common color."
She took her time to examine how they must look together however, seeing as there were five wolves, not being overly aggressive, and three of them talking; with a hint of amusement that barely traced her eye sand nothing more she realized that they must look like; A pack. She never thought it would come a time when she appeared to be in a pack, she was usually seen as too aloof, and it was not like she liked to follow the rules. wolves mentioned: All| wolves addressed: Echo| OCC: This is in the Thicket|

Nanakin did not know what to say. Had his words come out wrong again? The wolf Echo gave him a strange look or so he thought. Was he seeing things now? He began to feel the urge to pant as he felt his heart speed up a little bit. She peered closer at him, making him wonder what she had seen. did he have a bug in his fur? He did not know. He guessed that he would find out soon enough. Suddenly Echo spoke, he blushed a little bit as soon as the words registered in his mind. Looking away from the intense hazel gaze of the wolf in front of him. He had no idea how to respond to that. Was he suppose to say thank you? He liked that she liked his eye color. What color were his eyes? He had not really taken the time to look. The wolf provided the answer though, she realized that she too had a more amber color. Hers were more brown than the gold color like a setting sun. While he wondered what to say the Red colored wolf came up and said something else. He guessed that the wolf was right. Seeing as he was not very smart there were probably a lot of wolves with this eye color. He tried to respond to not sound odd "I like your eyes too." Mentally he wanted to slap himself, he sounded really weird. This only made the wolf blush harder as he tried to think about what he should say to recover. Echo:A thought soon dawned on her. Why was she so fascinated with his eye color? Maybe it wasn't his eye color she was drawn to, but something else. Or perhaps it was her being happy to be around others, curiosity? That was always what she thought, and for the most part it was definitely true. Nah, it was probably just because she was glad to have others around instead of being alone. Maybe she wouldn't be alone anymore? Would she have the brave the elements by herself, or would she have the help of a pack. Pack.. It was foreign to her thoughts. Soon Nanakin had said that he liked her eye color also which had made her grin a little bit; She felt as if she was going to simply wag her tail off. "Thanks," she said trying to hold back the smile that would soon spread across her face. She had never really thought of her eye color pretty, or beautiful really. She even doubted that she was some what an appeal to others. But this wolf had complimented her.. it drove her on the edge of wondering if he was telling the truth or not. Did she really have pretty eyes? Maybe she wasn't really an appeal to others because her lack of self confidence.. But she felt her face heat up regardless, he was so nice making a weird feeling came over Echo she did not know what though. She wanted to say something else to him, but once he had looked away, she thought it was best to ask him later. Echo was tired of hiding who she really was because in the end she knew she wouldn't have been her true self- her true potential, nor would she know what she would've been able to accomplish is her lifetime; why did she even cared what others thought about her, how the labeled her. Echo felt as if she had completely forget part of herself because of her hiding, and running away.. What made her think she could run away from who she really was? Would it be all worth it in the end, or leave her by herself? Sure, there would be other wolves that wouldn't accept her for who she was, her true nature but there would always be others who would gladly accept her for who she really was.. Even if she was clumsy, loud, and often times getting in the way of things. Breaking away from her thoughts of confusion, she noticed the red wolf making her way over to the small conversation. Dropping her tail down, but still wagging her tail, she listened to the red wolf speak. Not a rare eye color is all Echo picked up from what she said. Echo made a small face of ignorance hoping the wolf didn't catch her face at that very second. Amber eyes? Surely Echo had seen this color beforehand, of she hadn't, it didn't really explain her reaction to it; like a small pup finally about to go outside the den is what Echo felt. She was always examining things, and even the slightest significance to something caught her attention. "Oh!" She said slowly before twitching her left ear, Echo knew if she had tried to play cool, and respond back with, 'I knew that!' It would've made her look even more dumbfounded than she appeared. Stopping her tail mid swing to the side, Echo was curious to know more about the wolf that explained to her that amber wasn't really a rare color among wolves eyes. "Where are you from?" She moved her head and looked at the female. Although Echo felt a bit strange asking the wolf this, she was still dying to know. Besides, Echo could tell the she wolf had no intentions of trying to pick a fight, instead this wolf was very cool and collective, smart. Thought quiet, Echo knew this wolf was a strategic thinker standing strong and showing her intelligence.. And that was clearly something Echo couldn't manage to do a second. Come to think of it, Echo never really got the response she was looking for when she was about to ask the wolf her name because of distractions. "Also, your name!".Echo chirped in politely, her eyes shining with interest. Perking her ears as if trying to make her hearing reach for miles to make sure she didn't miss one detail. "And, your favorite food!" Oh, she couldn't leave that question out! A big smile crossed from ear to ear and she became very eager for the wolfs response. Though a bit of nervousness began to boil up in her stomach as the other two wolves just watch in silence. Would they move? Or too surprised about what happened within the matter of minutes? Echo Soon reclined to sitting on her haunches. They weren't going anywhere anytime soon, she hoped. Beside her paws began bothering her because of the long journey she had made before even meeting them. Echo let out a deep breath and began patting her fluffy tail on the ground. Whisper paused she was enjoying watching them comprehend each other. She knew that she herself was probably not very talented at being a round others or enjoying a conversation, as she was still feeling out of place in this one; but watching these two and feeling more safe at the distance and barrier between the other two she was finally able to enjoy being around other wolves. She wanted this moment to stretch out to eternity. The scenery was not distracting mostly green, and she was able to hear her own thoughts. And right now she was wondering at the chemistry between Nanakin and Echo. She may just be imagining it however, and quickly dismissed thought without further evidence to prove it. Besides they had barely gotten through their greetings. She would need to continue to watch them and while she might enjoy the company of another, she was not in the habit of following wolves for a period of time as when you were with another for a long time it was hard to keep a mask up; and they became boring to you. Well except you had an exceptional like of them. But that was rare. Rare enough that she no longer considered the possibility. She wanted to walk away now, but she stayed, because she wanted to watch these two.
The bumbling male wolf seemed to have finally understood what Echo had said and Whisper listened to his response. An interesting one, but seeing as he was an 'interesting' wolf she did not feel surprised. Looking elsewhere as she tried not to be intrusive she saw the mountains against the sky. She thought that a mountain would be something she could climb; and wondered what she would find up there. Focusing on that as if it were a destination she was headed her paws remained on the ground, but she needed to be ready to bolt. Maybe she should suggest they move farther away from those wolves. She was not scared, she was being cautious, they bothered her. Not just if they were an eye sore, but because they were on their lands, and they could call to their pack at any time. Although if they were prideful she wondered what they would do. They were now outnumbered assuming that Echo and Nanakin chose a side against them. She would end up fleeing either way. She could kill, but she was not a skilled fighter and at this point bloodshed seemed pointless to her when there must be some other option. She began to think of one before realizing she had no need to. She was already going to run, it was the two here that needed an escape plan, and she was not obligated to express one to them.
Causally she looked to the two of them. She could detect some emotions, but they were hard to place, it was almost as if the female wolf was distant. She contemplated it, although Echo seemed very simple outwardly she felt that she should maybe give the wolf some time to contemplate herself, if she was lucky she might be able to get a deep understanding of the wolf and not a nonsense of words strung together that the mind created on a whim. Such a personality would change in an instant; but she guessed that it was easier for some to accept that they were ever changing than accept that deep down the majority of wolves were rotten to the very core. But that was ehr take on the matter. What would they think?
She was in no mood to ask. Asking them their opinion on something meant that she would have to listen, and it may not be worth her time, she did not want to waste time that could be sent doing useful things. It was simply annoying and pointless, besides it only degraded the wolves whom she was speaking to further as she tried to have some meaningful words with them and they fell short of those expectations.
She noticed though that Echo was thinking on her words, which she appreciated, and she was glad that they were not taken lightly. It was a comfort to know that not everything she said and did to keep up her careful appearance was put to waste, while also revealing a small amount of who she really was. She did not think it was particurarly arrogant to say that she knew about the world. She was only three years old or she was three years old; depending upon the situation. She had seen much, and when looking into the eyes of the wolves, with pure hatred she saw one of their more honest forms; and honestly many of them were golden or an amber color. She ran into a lot with her hazel color as well. She had known that a few wolves who were not quite wolves had brilliant colors like blue or green and occasionally she envied them; to look at someone with an intense green gaze, she wished that she could do that at times.
Finally the female responded, and Whisper paused. She was not sure if the wolf was actually telling the truth or simply trying to make an impression. Seeing as the phrase that the wolf chose to use was fairly generic she guessed that it was not genuine, but she would not judge as it was not important matter to her. If the wolf was going to be ignorant then that was her fault and would only serve to annoy, but she could not judge the wolf entirely upon a mistake that she made. She would have to think about it a little bit more. She hoped that she would not be engaging in a conversation however with a wolf whom could not be intelligent about their conversation. They were all in fora very long conversation that way, and she was already a more than a little nervous about the entire situation. Being around so many wolves made her nervous, but she tried not to let it show. Her features a mask of disdain and indifference.
Focusing on the mountains and not the wolves helped a little bit. The wolf was moving so much, wagging her tail, and constantly moving around. Irritated she imitated the motion with her ears before abruptly bringing them to a halt. She was not in the habit of nervously twitching as in a fight it could betray the direction of her attack and she did not want that. The last thing she needed was yet another weakness added to her fighting skills, or rather a lack of them. She was not much of a fighter; but she wasn't a lover either she amended. You aren't anything. A small voice spoke in her head, nothing but a coward, and inwardly she ruefully smiled. True. Why try to deny it?
She waited for the wolf to continue as she was not in the mood to pick a stimulating and interesting across the participants topic for a prolonged conversation. She was more here to observe these two and what was developing in the conversation between them. Hopefully more wolves did not think it a good idea to intrude up on the borders of a pack. She was still unsure about the power and the numbers and skill of this pack. They had to have something in their favor to capture a beautiful, bountiful, and vast territory like this. It really was amazing. Suddenly the wolf found something. But her tail stiffened marginally although she showed nothing else. That topic.
Why did so much seem to revolve around the past, it wasn't like she was trying to avoid it. She was a lot of things, a coward, lucky, stupid, the list could go on forever. Why did the others try to remind her, whenever they asked her. She contemplated the best way to answer the question. She had long ago forgotten the way back to the place she had come from; although it had never really been her home. She guessed that it was somewhere a ways from here. She did not know how to answer the other part of that question though. Her sire; where had she come from? She did not know. She turned her head to Echo, and wondered if she could just tell the wolf it was a long story, although judging the wolf would only sit down and say that she had the time. She was spared when the wolf was distracted by another thought, and to her luck it was something that she could answer with ease. She would not mind giving up her name if it meant that she could get off of telling any wolf about her origins and the things that would naturally come with it. Her name, her maw parted and she felt the cool air push into her lungs and tongue. It was comfortable and she liked the sensation despite the fact that she already felt cool as her pelt did not do the best of protecting her.
Suddenly the wolf spoke again, and the wolf smiled, she had not seen a wolf smile for a reason so plain in simple in awhile, and if she did not wonder if she would look just as weird doing it then she would smile as well. However it was not a habit of hers, and that would mean being goofy if she messed it up. Not wanting to do that she watched as the wolf sat down and began vigorously moving her tail; hoping that that meant she could answer her question without interruption she spoke evenly "Whisper." Then looked away. She had such an odd and weird name. What was wrong with it, she did not know. It wasn't a bad name, but it made her feel small and insignificant. As if she was that afterthought, or never meant to be heard. wolves mentioned: Echo, Nanakin, Mercy| wolves addressed: Echo|OOC: Sure!, I think that they cost mercs, but I'll whip something up and you can tell me if you like.
