Zarya quivered in fear behind her brother. She did not trust these wolves. She thought of Nico, her bad experience with wolves. She thought of her dead mother. It all had happened at once. Zarya's heart pounded in her chest, and her breathing was fast and uneven. It was Nico's fault she was like this. He was the reason she couldn't handle being around people. Zarya couldn't suppress a quiet whimper. At this sound, her brother turned around. She could read the expression in his eyes. He was telling her everything was ok. For some reason, this gave her the courage she needed, and Zarya steeled herself, attempting to mask her feelings. She slowly, deliberately padded forward towards the tow wolves. "Hello," her voice showed no emotion, her words were calculated and careful. "I am Zarya, and this is my brother Zeus." She couldn't control her voice anymore; she knew she sounded frightened and wary. "Who are you? Why are you here?"
Zeus grinned at the two wolves, his tongue lolling out as he panted. What if he could be friends with these wolves? What if they were part of a pack he could join? Zeus was tired of being a loner. He wasn't fit for this life. He adored his sister, but he wanted more. He wanted a pack and a family. If he had those things, it wasn't like he would abandon her. Zeus' mind snapped back to his sister, hearing her whimper. He turned comforting eyes to her, telling her it was ok. Zeus breathed a sigh of relief when she padded forward and spoke to the wolves. Zeus joined her, and flashed another lopsided grin at the two wolves. He sized them up, not meaning to be rude, just curious. The male was a handsome white wolf. The female had a pretty multicolored coat. Considering the fact that he and Zarya had happened upon them while they were wrestling, Zeus wondered if they were... oh never mind. He needed to butt out of other people's business. Zeus sat down, and waited patiently for the wolves' reaction.

Post Allowing her muscles to release all the tensions they had held before hand, Echo grew promptly more happy. She loved meeting new wolves; but she regretted thinking of how they would react to her goofy reactions. Watching Nanakin, she noticed him on edge as if trying to protect her from the unknown. Was he just as happy as her or scared? Either way both emotions sparked curiousity and soon, Echo noticed him let his guard down, and give a friendly introduction of himself.. Oh right! She forgot to say her name. Just before she could fix her jaws to do so, the other wolf that seemed to be cowering behind finally spoke up. Zarya.. Such a nice name. For some reason it reminded Echo of something pretty, but she couldn't quite put her paw on what it was exactly. Twisting her body, her head briefly in the snow before she made it back to her paws again; jumping forward abit she held a small footy grin. No wait bad! She couldn't help it, she was too excited. "Nice to meet you Zarya and Zeus! My name is Echo! Hello!" She barked happily, letting her eyes zip from one wolf to another. Panting her eyes danced with curiosity. wolves mentioned:Nanakin, Zeus, Zarya.|wolves addressed:Zeus, Zarya.|ooc: |

Nanakin paused, he was much more relaxed now, and glad that everyone was okay; but still confused as to why the wolf Zarya was acting like this, pausing he answered the question himself "I'm Nanakin, and I honestly don't know what I'm doing here!" He spoke the truth and yet it showed his lack of intelligence. He paused, his tail slightly lower as he was unsure what to do or say now. The female wolf had asked a hard question and he didn't really know how to answer. His head turned a little towards Echo, because she seemed to be doing pretty well.

As soon as Zarya heard the two wolves answers, she regretted posing this question at them. But she just couldn't trust them yet. Zarya was lost in thought when Echo darted forward, merely because of excitement. But Zarya couldn't control her reaction. Because of instinct and her past, Zarya shrunk backwards in fear, behind Zeus, and let out a small whimper. She stayed back there after she realized that it was merely a harmless gesture, just because she was embarrassed now. She was so terrible at this. And she couldn't help but like the happy-go-lucky, friendly she-wolf called Echo. Usually she was even more surly to some wolves, as kind of a test to see if they cared enough to get to know the real Zarya. Then she could trust them. She wanted to be friends, she wanted to trust Echo, but she had to do it on her own time. Zarya had to work this out herself. So she stepped forward to speak to Echo again. "Um... sorry...about that," she cleared her throat. "So, hi Echo. Um...how do you know Nanakin?" Zarya was bad at small talk. She hoped that she and Echo would be able to find something to talk about.
Zeus turned his laughing eyes toward and lop-sided grin towards Nanakin. He liked the wolf's answer to his sister's confusing question. At least Nanakin was truthful, he smiled. So when Zarya darted behind him once again and whimpered, Zeus didn't know what was going on. He looked towards Echo. He could see she hadn't done anything but move closer. Zeus sighed. That little movement must have startled Zarya. But Zeus knew that she needed to do this on her own. So he just let her remain behind him until she got the courage to go back towards Zarya. Then, once again, he turned to Nanakin. "Hi," he said, smiling. "So um, Nanakin, is there something you like to do with you time? Is there a place around here we should know about? My sister and I are here because we were travelling, but we like this place, and decided to stay. That is why I ask; we don't know if there is a routine or a leader here, somewhere we shouldn't go, I don't know." Zeus didn't know quite what to think of Nanakin yet, although he did like him.

Post looking around, Echo let her ears droop a bit. She wasn't sure why the other wolves seemed to fear her, especially the other small female wolf. Echo meant no harm, really! But the small cream colored female wolf made Her feel like a terrible monster. Listening to what Zarya had to say she heard her introduce herself and her other partner.. ..Where they mates? Echo wasn't sure and she surely didn't want to ask and be rude. Stepping back, she stood close to Nanakin; at least he made her feel safe and not dumb and stupid. Soon Zeus spoke, and even Echo wondered about this land; she wasn't even sure what they where even doing. Oh right, exploring the land. Looking at Nanakin, she hoped he had an answer for them. wolves mentioned: Zarya, Zeus, Nanakin. |wolves addressed: None. |ooc: |

Nanakin paused, he thought that the conversation had broken off into two groups. Echo and Zarya on one side and he and Zeus on the other, he edged a little closer to Echo to cover the distance but still felt awkward. Was he being too stupid? He didn't really know, sighing he heard Zeus as him a question and then was glad that at least the wolf was friendly. He didn't hear Echo talk, was she okay? She normally talked, which saved him from looking dumb, and only made him look quiet. He didn't think there was anything wrong with quiet wolves. Was there? He didn't know, he never saw them really talk to anyone or be very social like other wolves so maybe there was something wrong with them. Still there was nothing wrong with Echo, still he hoped she was okay. He knew he had to answer Zeus' question so he grinned and said "Not that I know of." He had just stumbled upon this place, he was glad at meeting Echo though. He was having fun with her. Still he wouldn't mind the others, as long as they weren't mean. So with that in mind he said "We were just exploring, and I wouldn't mind if you joined." He didn't speak for Echo, because he wanted her to be okay with it. If she wasn't then they could part ways here. He would rather spend time with her. Wolves addressed: Zeus Wolves mentioned: Echo, Zarya, Zeus

Post As Rhythm felt his paws thrust forward to grip his main adjective; her scruff, if he managed to grab hold he may take in a slight advantage of trying to use his weight to throw her off balance perhaps. Though he knew that she was fragile, or despite how her frame looked to him to portray that feature he would take into consideration that she may hold more to her then he would imagine, he would not judge her strengths before he even experienced them yet. But he yielded, scared that he may hurt Whisper in the progress, his mind deep in concentration of how to exactly approach the red wolf. She looked weak and punny to Rhythm really, and if he really wanted, he probably could've have taken her out if he had the slightest feeling to do so, yet he liked her how she stood up to him rather than being submissive, it sparked a liking in him, but he wasn't really sure why he felt that way. Why he had all these questions about her. Rather her appearance may have had something to do with it also; he couldn't help but admire how beautiful she was, how her pelt sparked a small red, almost fire like glow; it matched her personality well.
Feeling his muscles tense, Rhythm wondered how good of a fighter she was, regardless of the playfighting, what tricks did she have up her sleeve for him he wanted to figure out how she deemed to want to play this, if she wanted to win against him she would need a plan and if he could figure out what she would do before she did it, he may be able to trip her up allowing him an opening for him to win. Watching her closely, he tried to pin out how good of a strategist she was. She was calm, and she was waiting for his first move; As he had noticed before, she was a great observer, and could easily dodge this attack of his, but truly he was simply testing her first reaction of him pursuing her charging in first. Rhythm began to wonder if she really engaged in playful fighting. She didn't seem like the type though because the way she carried her attitude around others. So serious all the time, yet trying to hide the true meaning of her feelings to actually engage in something fun. Rhythm thought of that as rather.. Selfish of the she wolf. Why would she hide something like that away from others who cared? True, everyone has a right to share or keep their feelings away from each other but why torture a state of feeling like that keeping it behind closed doors.
As expected she easily dodged his attack; pulling head to the side, Rhythm jaws snapped at air multiple times trying to grasp anything that came in contact as she maneuvered around him. Paw, pelt, anything, but despite his slowness, capturing her speed seemed like a blur of red zooming by him leaving him slightly dumbfounded. She was fast, and he had to give her props for that. Quickly slinging his body around he grinned slightly at her watching her eyes. Her body was meant for speed; odd an opponent he had not ran past too often leaving him pondering hard of ideas of how to exactly go about this. In his old pack, most were built for strength rather than speed but he would not let that deter him from figuring her out. Twitching his ear slightly, he had to maintain good concentration with her if he even stood a chance trying to keep up with her. Wagging his tail, his eyes caught hold of something special that actually made his heart leap; she was smiling, well he hoped that was a smile she was giving. It almost made him wonder how long she had had a play fight before, how long ago was it since she had fun? Letting himself ease a bit, he found his voice to come very calmly as he spoke, "Was that a smile I saw there my dear Whisper?" Even though he spoke, he was still on guard waiting for her attack.

Her air came out in puffs of smoke as she breathed shortly from the dodge; she could have kept going, but the physical effort was great enough to get her adrenaline going which shorted her breaths. Looking at him she wondered what he was thinking right now, he certainly most of the time seemed to be thinking. She wondered what he was doing here, or why he was here, or any number of things. He knowledge was limited enough that she could pick out questions with ease, it would be easier to count the blades of grass in a meadow. She glanced at him, boiling beneath the surface while she remained calm, calm but smiling still as she watched him, in thought, in wonder, in joy. She couldn't exactly place the emotion that she felt when she searched him. Part of her was looking for weaknesses in his stance where she could attack, but a larger part almost felt like she could uncover his secrets simply by looking at him. It was a foolish notion and quickly she drew her gaze back to his eyes, where would they move, where was he going to strike next. Instead of attacking she allowed her crouch to lose some of it's predatory aim as he spoke. She wondered at his words slightly.
She could feel that his words were guarded, and it made her slightly on edge. This entire time she had been ironically wanting to know everything about him; liking his moods, and his obvious emotions, and how he said what he meant, and meant what he said. All together and somehow being unpredictable, but constantly staying in character. Now she thought that it was hard to tell what he meant. His words were sarcastic, and yet his voice was filled with a calm that she often found herself using at times when it suited her. And yet it didn't seem to fit him. Her smile pulled down slightly, although her maw was still left open as puffs of air went out. Her body was closer to the ground, and she was in a crouch, ready to dodge, and her mind was reeling. Trying to figure him out, more than just a way to beat him. She let out a longer breath, the smoke hot and swishing and curling around her like a snake choking off her thoughts. She went to his left, keeping light on her paws, just to see how he would react, if he attacked her she would block with her shoulder, if he ran in the opposite direction she would jump and aim, and if he went dodged towards her to surprise her and try to catch her off guard then she would spin out of the way and prepare for another. She really had few aims besides that, as her mind swirled. She couldn't do anything, it felt as if she was suspended in time, just waiting. Waiting forever, waiting forever for him. A small part of her wondered if he would just leave her there. But that was foolish, it was just a game; it was a game that even pups played, and yet, well it really was just a game. He wouldn't leave her 'sure he won't' the voice decided that it was a good time to make an entrance. She frowned, trying to think that he wouldn't, not without at least telling her, and yet there lunging in space and time with her thoughts back she had to wonder at the words. Was she ready for a journey where she couldn't see diverging paths?
Still she had to respond, she wasn't willing to pull her lips back up into a smile, a little too self conscious at being caught, and a little too nervous about how to do it. She didn't really know what it was suppose to look like. Still she answered easily and calmly, matching his tone as the words dissipated into the air "Yes," her words stopped mid sentence as she tried to think of what else to say. It was a question, and she had answered it, and yet she felt as if she had to explain, shrugging her shoulders she spoke honestly, the words finding their own way out of her mouth for a change, and she wondered why they had "IT's been awhile since I've had this much fun." She didn't say thank you, but the words were there. wolves mentioned: Rhythm| wolves addressed: Rhythm|ooc: because we're seperate you can post without Zarya, and Echo

Post As Rhythm kept his eyes glued on Whisper, he let his tail to swing in a snake like motion before letting it sink back down to a slump, lightly brushing the frost coated grass That seemed to stretch on as far as the eye could carry the looker. Letting his shoulders roll slightly as he shifted his weight on his paws moving a few inches back, he wondered what Whisper was thinking now. The task now was only to be able to outhink her in a sense; he kind of knew she only had a few think to pick from to try and take him down but he would not put this into work before he saw what she planed to put into place here. Slightly moving his head to the side, he twitched his ears, she was looking at him with the same intent as he Was her, but in his mind he wasn't really sure what she was clearly looking for inside him. Weakness? Strengths? Or was she just simply staring at him for fun. Shaking his neck fur he quickly threw the thought away; he could understand -- knew why he watched her closely but he could not understand why she looked at him the same way. He was simple to understand really; did she see something inside him that he couldn't see in himself.
Flashing a small facial twitch in his face, he denied himself from to keep showing a small smile, instead he let his face fall back into the natural position; neutral. Watching Whisper with a calm attitude he went about all his options of how he could make his move as he waited for her response. Really, he didn't have to many routes. He could charge yet again, and she would simply dodge again, he could try and trip her up, but she had full attention on him so he abandoned that thought. Quickly, he let his gaze skim over her before placing his eyes back on her eyes letting his tongue pant slightly from under his dark gums. She was even closer to the ground waiting for him, probably wondering the same things he was: how to dsplote the opponents weakness. He was quite aware of this, so he held a very positive posture to hide anything that maybe something she tried to prey on. She was not smiling anymore which made him wonder if she was to caught up in thinking of how to respond to him, or simply didn't like what he said; did what he say perhaps catch her off guard? It only had to be one of the few options up there, and either way Rhythm was fine with it. Watching her begin to swing to his left, Rhythm shifted to his right softly, now his eyes on her body movements. She was ready for any of his attacks because she narrowed them down well and calculated so he would only have a few options Giving her an upper hand. Keeping low to the ground, he let her move, and as she moved to his left, he went right.
Letting the wind blow his coat in different directions; it disarrayed his pelt. Listening to her words carefully, his lips almost curled into a bit of a smile. Though he wasn't expecting her to actually go that route and open up a small part of her, he was still grateful she had courage enough to venture out from her shell slightly. "I see." Was all Rhythm could manage to say, he didnt want to seem up all in her business, but at the same time he wanted to be, but he felt leaving that point of topic alone would be best for them right now. Letting the fur on his back raise Rhythm decided to lunge at her. Using his back legs to move himself forward, he slightly showed bared teeth, and a small playful growl aiming for her shoulder, rather letting her block him with it, inhaling deeply, he let his mind focus on what he was doing. He hoped he would be able to catch her off guard here. wolves mentioned: whisper |wolves addressed: whisper |ooc: okay |

Whisper paused, and wondered what he thought. She wished that she could take the words back. She didn't want him to think that she was weird. She had no trouble admitting to herself that she wasn't perfectly normal, but then why did he have to know that. She felt a little nervous, about what he would say. She wished that she didn't have to find out. She could have said so many different things and yet that of all the words she knew all the different phrases she could have used to say it as ambiguously as possible or downright lie about it was what she had chosen to say. Hopefully he just took it as it was and didn't ask why, because if she had answered honestly in the first place, she really didn't want to answer honestly a second time. It simply was not in her nature.
Pausing maybe one day she thought, that was the perfect phrase, one day, not today, and maybe tomorrow. However you could run and run and run and run, and never even get close to that perfect tomorrow that everyone seemed to think existed. Maybe it did and she had run past it, but she couldn't be sure. She sure hadn't found, she thought she had, and then the next tomorrow came. The next tomorrow, and she had never found another one, because time would pass and the day would end,and she would only leave missing yesterday.
She listened to his words, simple. Eloquent enough. But then she focused on the fight. A small grin escaped her as she took in the surroundings; a frosty crust encircled the earth, and the chilly air warped around, the hot air she exhaled doing nothing to it as the smoke disappeared into the air. Her tail lowered, smoke. Shaking her head, not smoke, it was just air. Just breath, not smoke. Burying the queasiness deep inside she thought about it. The frost cackled underneath her weight. She lifted her paw up slightly unsure what to do. Waiting for him to move, she didn't want to talk right now. She didn't really know what else to say. It would be easy if she had a kind of wolf she wanted to be. If she were pretending to be someone who was glad she could easily brush it off, and if she was any other she usually wouldn't be in this position. Actually the fact that this was the first in awhile proved that she wouldn't have been in this position in the first place. Putting her paw back down on the ground so that she would be better balanced for any attack that might come her way, and any attack she might want to make her paw slipped a tiny bit on the frost. She actually managed a smile as she looked back up at Rhythm. Wondering if she could get him to slip up on this terrain. She knew that going fast enough most wolves could slip on dry grass so, she guessed it was worth a shot.
Since this was her plan she would go with she could go along with whatever attack he went with. Suddenly she could see the muscles in his hind legs bunch up and she felt her own mirror the movement as she prepared. Almost as suddenly as he started the energy released and he lunged towards her shoulder. Grinning, now; spinning her tail out of the way along with her hindquarters she changed direction and sped off, intent on seeing how tight his turns could get before he was on the ground and slipping and sliding. She tried to picture him splayed out on the ground but she couldn't. It just wasn't well, she hadn't ever really thought that that would be possible. Still she reiterated it was worth a shot, so she poured on a little speed, and allowed her paws to find the perfect tract that would allow her to stay up and not make an ever bigger fool of herself than she was already making of herself. However right now she found it surprisingly hard to care. Still she shook the thoughts from her mind. wolves mentioned: Rhythm |wolves addressed: none |

Zarya backed away from Echo some, feeling awkward and not knowing what to say. She noticed that Echo looked a little upset after Zarya had been startled by only a friendly gesture. Zarya looked around and, hearing her brothers' voice asking about the territory, she realized that he was perfectly relaxed and she was overreacting. These wolves, she decided, she could trust. So with that, she shook her cream-colored fur, walked closer to Echo, and sat. She opened her mouth to speak, but then hesitated. She sighed. "I'm sorry for - all this- I mean, um...how I've been so unfriendly..." She paused. "I'm just not used to this." Zarya smiled. "I mean, I've been traveling with just my brother for what seems like ages. I wasn't always like this." Zarya felt like she was rambling and she blushed slightly with embarrassment. She looked over to her brother and heard Nanakin ask if they would like to join them in exploring. Zarya nodded to Zeus to say it was okay. As long as she had Zeus, she didn't feel too threatened.
When Nanakin invited Zeus to explore with them, his eyes lit up with excitement. "Sure! We... I'd love to! It's been forever since I've met other wolves, this is cool." Zeus smiled and his paws did a little dance, as if he was ready to go and couldn't keep still. Zeus blushed bright red, embarrassed at his pup-like tendencies. He cleared his throat and looked away. "Um, where were you guys thinking of heading off to?"

Post Rhythm felt his heart launch as he felt the ,muscles in his legs tighten as he began to push forward to make his attack towards Whispers shoulders. Sure he had doubt that he would even manage to land this attack, but it was worth a shot for him to try. It Always made him very excited when he was in the heart of a battle, whether a simple play fight, or a fight to the death his instincts really didn't care which. As soon as it felt like he would land this attack he was meaning to get on Whispers shoulders, she spin out of his way quickly before darting out into the different direction. leaving him to grasp at nothing. The momentum of his speed wasn't too forgiving either because as soon as he tried to make a quick turn for her tail, his paws almost buckled from benife his body leaving him unstable almost to fall over on his face. Feeling his body jerk sideways kind of, he desperately tried to keep himself from falling to a certain means of embarrassment. He had somehow kept his somewhat little balance that he had, and quickly regained a fighting stance. It was her move now. "Good move." was all he could say at the moment. He braced himself simply just incase she wanted to attack him now. wolves mentioned: Whisper |wolves addressed: |ooc: Sorry this is so short on the road, plus I'm a bit sick. |

Whisper smirked a little at his words, a small corner of her mind felt pride; but it was useless as she had not achieves what she had hoped to. She wondered how to get him to truly slip up, how to win. The thought almost surprised her; win. She could run, and she could live, but what had she won recently? Shaking her head, each day alive when others died was winning against all those who followed you with spite, and you defied them. She didn't need to hold her jaws over their throat to know that she had won. But in a play fight like this it was important to win. So she assessed it, still unsure. Still shaky on how to do this, why would she ever try to fight someone who was so obviously stronger than she was? Pausing she answered carefully, filling the silence with words that were slightly filled with respect "Not so bad yourself." Air twisted into a patter around her maw as she considered everything carefully. Shooting forward she aimed low, so that she could turn, and twist, and get him from below, and hopefully try for a weak spot "But not going to be to good enough." She was grinning, her canines weren't flashing fully in aggression, but she did intent to win this game. Her heart pumped, and she didn't feel the cold in her paws. She didn't feel like she was flying either, she felt like she was here; solid and about to strike. wolves mentioned:Rhythm |wolves addressed:Rhythm |ooc: it's okay|
