|KIPXIN|
Kipxin's body curved around Kole's touch; she felt that if she were a feline she would be purring. Addicted to his touch, shivers ran down her spine. She wanted to be closer to him, feel his warmth around her always.
A snowflake landed on her nose as she contemplated these thoughts, snapping her back to reality. The wind whipped, forcing her backwards away from Kole. Blinking, the snow began to fall. She made eye contact with Kole, her eyes wide and panicking slightly.
They needed to hunt. & They needed to do it now.
Kipxin spun 180 degrees around and bolted towards to fields to hunt. Her mind was racing, but through the rhythm of her paws against the freezing earth, her heart beat matched it. She had thought further ahead, beyond this hunt, to being in a den, possibly for days, alone.
Maybe she would invite Kole to join her?
Her heart skipped at the thought. Share a den? Ask? She might as well just ask him to be her mate if she did that.
But was that such a bad thought?
She thought of the others and their welfare through the storm. She hoped everyone found someone to den up with through the long, cold nights ahead. She thought of Azreal and Whisper and hoped they would den together - they'd be a good match. She thought of the others, her phantoms in the forest, and hoped that they would turn up soon.
She just wanted everyone to be safe.

( filler post sorry) Whisper scented the chilled air as it blasted into her lungs, as if seeking her warmth. She glanced at the deer they moved uneasily around their patches as if about to move, Whisper glanced back at the forest, wondering where Azreal was, if he was wondering where she was this wpuld solve it. Whisper stealithly moved around towards the back of the herd, nearest was one deer she had pinned as weak, it had a tantalizing scent now and she allowed it to fuel her. The contours of the land made for a good hunt and everything was going well, for now. Whisper allowed her legs to crouch ready to spring before she let a long and clear howl out into the crisp air. It resounded for a large distance, a hunting howl. The deers did not hesitate they bounded toward safetey, wherever that was. Whisper bounded after themher heart thumping wildly like a caged animal against her chest as her muscles followed the deer. She smelled the air around her for the sign of another wolf. The weak deer mever stumbled but it's white tail flaunted in front of her taunting her as she neared her prey. Gasping in air exhilirated, wondering for a split second what ut would feel like to have Azreal running beside her. A bubbly feeling of warmth tingled through her fueling her chase on. Whisper zoned in on the deer, as it lagged from the herd slightly. Wolves mentioned: Azreal Wolves addressed: none

Azreal
Azreal glances around. He would have to be quicker on his feet if he wanted to keep Whisper around. It seemed her heart wasnt secure. She mustve been let down in the past. Azreal puts his head down and tries to follow her scent. The wind was picking up and blowing her direction all out of proportion. He grit his teeth and kept looking. He would find her eventually. He couldnt see well with all the debris in the air. Azreal suddenly caught a strong path. She was going the right way. He smiled to himself. She was an excellent hunter, and seemed to work well on her own. He quickly picked up his gait into a steady trot. If she was tracking something he didnt want to mess up her kill. He liked the idea of her hunting with him. They would make a nice pair. He would have to teach her patience though, if she couldnt even wait for him to show her the right direction how was she going to go for a big kill. He took a deep breath hoping he looked somewhat alright. She came into his line of view quickly. Her amber coat complimenting her muscle tone. She was tensed and poised in just the right movement to spring quickly into action. She looked so focus, her eyes fierce and promising. He loved the independence she showed. She must have years of experience hunting. He got into a crouch and stalked up a few yards away from Whisper. How was he going to let her know he was close without startling her? He looked around for some kind of hint. Moment to think was over. He smiled and charged her prey gaining speed with every stride. Wolves Mentioned:: Whisper Wolves Addressed:: Whisper (kind of)

Whisper panted exhilirated as she continued the chase gaining, the scent within tantalizing reach when another familiar smell entered her brain, it was almost as if her legs kept their frenzied pace adrenalin and years of instinct kept them going but her mind slowed Azeal. She snapped out of it as he ran beside the deer closing in, whisper kept up the chase not knowing what to do in a pair, she took a moment to take in his dense coat that was soft and rough at the same time and the almost effortless way he shifted across the ground. Whisper saw the deer lose a step as she closed in more distance, soon but not yet the deer looked almost like it was teetering holding onto earth in its immanent death. She glanced at Azreal he had come, she paused thenreminded herself to focus leaving the thought for later. She moved slightly so she was still behind tge deer but if she got close tge hooves would not reach her, knowing she couldn't recover fast enough if she did. Whisper glanced at their surroundings for a moment, processing them; a meadow of snow the herd slowly moving faster, and there was the beginning of a forest on both sides though one was not quite as dense as the other. Whisper watched Azreal carefully knowing that the opprotunity for the kill would present itself to them soon. Wondering which one of them would take it. Azreal
Glanced quickly at Whisper, he steered off to the right hoping she would steer to the left. He wanted to corner the animal. He began to fall behind the deer as it turned to the right. The worst place to be when hunting is behind an animal. He noticed the deer trying to push her back legs up to kick. Azreal slowed and moved in to the left with Whisper. Azreal felt his energy going out as he watched the deer leap victoriously onwward. Azreal slowed down and looked at Whisper defeated. "We could try and pursue the beast, or we could search for an easier catch?" Azreal says in a low tone voice. "I almost had it too. If it hadnt cut me off I woudldve had my chance..." Azreal trails off and feels his heart pound. He looks down and back up into her grey eyes. She looked so weak too. She needed food soon. Her body was starting to cave in. Azreal felt it was his job to make sure she had something to eat. "Come on, lets get something else." Azreal nudges her and begins walking off. He would find an easier catch, and the first thing he caught would be hers. As he walked away he could here the deer calling to its group. "Stupid animal." Azreal muttered and rolled his eyes. Whisper veered sharply to left, trying to evade the flying hooves. The deer began it's final attempt and flung out it's legs, so that Azreal couldn't corner it, with an air of triumph it bounded nimbly off to join the rest of the group as Azreal was forced to move over giving up his advantage. She panted hard for a moment, waiting for her strength to return, and snapped her attention to Azreal as he spoke. It would be useless to pursue it, they had already wasted enough energy on one catch, they needed to move on. Whisper shook her head and zoned out as Azreal finished his speech, it was useless to think about what could be, it would be difficult to attack from the same herd, they should move to smaller game. Whisper glanced towards the sun's glare, it had passed the zenith but was still high in the sky, so they had time before tomorrow and the storm. She felt Azreal catch her gaze and felt an odd intensity before it broke and he nudged her on. She started, recoiling slightly before moving after his figure as if nothing had happened. Walking on she regained some of the former energy and she had eaten a few hours ago, but the hunt had sapped her strength somewhat. At least there was one experienced hunter in the group, Whisper resisted the urge to roll her eyes as Azreal muttered his frustration like a pup. She scented the air and recollecting herself slightly Whisper quieted her paw steps, alert, and ready for any prey unlucky enough to cross their path. She glanced at Azreal for a moment before looking back towards the forest, she never knew what to expect, but that could be fun. He had shown up, even if she had started without him. ☾ d a i s y ⭐︎ v i c t o r i a ☽
Daisy was a particularly absentminded individual when she was without company. Absentminded in the sense that she was often wrapped up in her own mental palace, where she ignored the material world around her in favor of her own idealistic mental existence. She wasn’t, however, completely unaware of what went on around her. In fact, she was quite aware of her fast approach on foreign territory. As she neared the border, she slowly descended from her cloud-like thoughts with a groggy awareness. It felt to her like awakening from a pleasant dream, and she blinked slowly as the mind-fog began to lift.
Gradually she became more aware of her limbs, and the aching in her thin bones and paws. The young female sat in an effort to relieve the dull throbbing, as well as in an effort to shed her dampening thoughts and awaken herself from her mental stupor. Daisy furrowed her brow in concentration as she began to soak in the scents and sights around her. Perhaps she wasn’t aware as she had thought she was, because at present, she had little idea as to where she was.
This wasn’t particularly troubling for Daisy however, much of her existence as of late had been nothing more but useless wandering and scavenging. It was not an ideal situation for the female, and she craved social interaction, nearly needing it to survive. Solitary living was depraving her of this, and each passing day caused her chest to constrict tighter and tighter with want and need.
Thus the primary reason she sat conflicted at the edge of the foreign territory. If Daisy were to perhaps make herself known, she could potentially make friends and ease the ache in her chest, or potentially make enemies. By scent alone Daisy was unable to perceive intentions, cruel or otherwise, and this frightened her a bit. Idly sitting her in such a vulnerable position could very well be a huge mistake.
Daisy let out a quiet hum and squashed this thought. She wasn’t doing anything wrong, anyway, she told herself. No one should have a problem with her. Her stomach clenched suddenly, fatigue and hunger weighing her thoughts. The female let out and groan, and lowered herself onto her stomach. She had little energy to go scavenging, and thus for the time being, put her hunger in the back of her mind. Daisy didn’t close her eyes and sleep, however, and instead opted to watch the forest move around her while internally, the female debated her presence at the edge of the territory. Although she wanted to believe they wouldn’t have a problem with her, the more logical recesses of her mind told her otherwise, and that she should leave immediately. She groaned again and buried her muzzle beneath her paws in comical distress.

Whisper paused, listening in on the wind and the sights as well as the considerably more important scents. She was keen and alert and there was a slight breeze warning her of an impending storm, it set her on edge and she kept glancing at Azreal. Just being around him made her on edge, though it was hard to tell whether it was good or bad, she thought good, although with his sudden temper it could just as well be bad. She hesitated unfamiliar with the territory as she tried to familiarize herself with the piece of land that she was coming in contact with. The forest was peaceful and she doubted they would find prey, they were all hidden in their burrows, hiding away with meagre food to survive the upcoming blast of a storm. She glanced at Azreal again this time wanting to go nearer to him, she shoved away the desire it was foolish and mostly, she tried to convince herself, due to the season. Her mind began to wander despite her attempts at focusing it on the hunt, it simply was hard to do when so many worries and thought swirled around her head, and despite the impending storm she loved the weather, the breeze ruffling her coat was less harsh due to the trees providing some cover, anxiously she wondered what would happen if they were caught here while the storm was raging. It would be horrible as she almost cringed at the thought, her face though was a blank mask, an old habit she doubted would ever go away. Even if she wanted it to, but why would she want it to? She glanced at Azreal, he was interesting, not in a bad way, he awakened some part of her that had been dead some time. The curious half, the tentative half, concerned about others feelings, though she tried to push it away. Her feelings only got in the way anyway, they only hurt her, because those feelings had to be for someone else and you never knew if they might go away and leave you, or die. She shook her head softly, pushing the thoughts back in her mind trying to be more alert for the hunt, trying almost desperately not to think about her feelings, she liked spending time with Azreal, he could be funny and sweet, and his feelings were genuine, something you rarely saw. Whisper sighed before looking up after losing herself in thought before realizing that the distance between herself and Azreal had almost halved, embarrassed she edged away and gave her rapt attention to the forest around them, acutely aware of her surroundings. Walking on her paws began to ache, accustom to the amount of travel but not to the hard running of the two hunts she had been on and all the excitement of today. So much had happened she could barely comprehend it, a day, this day felt like it stretched on for moons. Her stomach rumbled, a barely audible sound, even though she had eaten all she needed for today her body was reminding her that she would need the food later on, and soon. Whisper glanced at the sun and it had noticably begun it's decent into the horizon. She looked at Azreal they had been searching for prey for a little while, but they needed a more defined plan if they were going to go do a last sweep of the perimeter, hunt, and meet up with Kipxin and Kole, she still had not dug her den out and she grimaced at having to sleep in a place another wolf had marked, her nose wrinkled slightly in disgust. Her voice was soft yet clear as she spoke to Azreal, carefully planning out her words, it was still technically his hunt and he was in charge, sort of " Is there somewhere we should be heading" not wanting to seem disrespectful and pressure him, but she added anyway " The storm will hit tomorrow" and trailed off wondering if he was still frustrated from their last attempt, silently she cursed herself for not waiting for him. Kips touch made the dark wolf's heart thump against his ribs, yet also brought him a sense of calm at the same time. All to soon she was pulled away, a stiff wind bringing down a forceful snow. The fur on his back stood up on end at the signal from nature. He was snapped back into reality, the reality that Kipxin pulled him away from. She made him feel as though he was in a dream. The reality being that she was his dream. The whole thought confused Kole slightly. Only when Kipxin's wide eyes pulled at his gaze did he brush the dumb thoughts away. He watched for a few seconds as she spun around and took off running. His eyes followed her swishing tail as she bounded away to the beat of his heart.
With a hesitant start he took off after her, bounding through the light snow, shutting his eyes against the flakes as they bombarded his face.

Whisper paused listening, scenting, trying to find any prey. Her stomach sent a small pang of hunger and she glanced at Azreal, wondering about him. She had only met him but he intrigued her. She wondered what he had been before beta, if he had been born into the pack, if he had been born a rouge, if he had ever had pups, and a slew of other things. Whisper paused, now was not the time to make conversation, the sun was about 3/4 of the way down and they still needed to do some things. Whisper walked on, her paws aching slightly, she felt just right, the trees blocking most of the harsh winds. She glanced around not knowing where they were and hoping they would be able to find their way back, she paused hesitating and going back to the thought, why had she said we? Whisper decided to ponder this later as she sniffed the air, inhaling sharp cold wind, most of the prey was hiding so if they found the burrow of anything it would be good. Whisper wondered if they should do a last perimeter sweep to make sure no new wolves were there, she remembered how frustrating it was to wait at the border, not knowing if the wolves on the other side that she never saw would chase her away or welcome here, she sighed lightly glad to be in a pack. After a year of wandering it was nice to not have to check behind her back, to not run in fear at everything. Whisper looked at Azreal again, glad she was here with him, it was a simple feeling. Kipxin bolted for the field, her nose picking up the distant scent of deer. Lifting her nose to the sky, she inhaled deeply, allowing distinct signature scents to flood her nostrils and cause her heart rate to increase. She was a wolf on the hunt.
With Kole behind her, she knew they could take down a reasonably sized kill - something they could share with each other and possibly other pack members, that is, if they ever turned up.
Kipxin approached the field and instantly zoned in on a running herd of deer. She narrowed her eyes and saw the streaks of Whisper's red fur flanking one of the deer. With her nose still sniffing rapidly, she could also sense Azreal in the distance.
Between the two of them, they had sent this herd running in all directions - some even approaching where her and Kole were now standing. She knew this was her chance and she gave Kole a devilish look.
Keeping her gray body close to the freshly powdered ground, she used her coat as camouflage and began stalking her prey, knowing in confidence that Kole was right on her flank.
And for reasons she could not rationally explain, there was a comfort in knowing that he would always have her back.

whisper paused scenting the air and deeply inhaling. She scented Kipxin and Kole. She turned to Azreal, they needed to do something and if he was going to take care of this territory fine, she really needed to get movin though. The hunt was still on. She spoke softly as she was accustom "Kipxin and Kole are behind us, we need to go help them hunt, we have a better chance of catching something together." She bounded off in the direction that she had scented Kipxin in. Glancing back once, she felt a small pang in her heart that Azreal wasn't following, but she couldn't win every battle. She sighed she was being too clingy. She saw the turmoil that Azreal and her failure had caused, the deer were scattered and weak. She spotted Kipxin leading the hunt, stalking the timid animals and taking advantage of the fact that none seemed to notice anything. whisper positioned herself so that when the deer scattered she would have a lead on them and still be near Kipxin or Kole in case she needed help. Whisper glanced at Kipxin hoping the alpha noticed her so that it wasn't like she was taking over the hunt. Whisper frowned maybe this was a bad idea. She knew that Kipxin seemed fairly lenient but she didn't want the alpha to think that she had disrespected her. Whisper glanced back to Azreal for support and scented him in the distance but farther away. She sighed wanting his knowledge and company. She missed the feeling she had when she was with him. It was alive and the closest thing to passion she had ever come across. Whisper tried to drag her mind back to the hunt as she lay in wait, for Kipxin to make her move on the deer. As the alpha Kipxin would start the hunt and direct it. Trying to focus on the hunt she tried unsuccessfully to push Azreal's gaze from her mind. Kole stayed close on Kip's tail, matching each and every one of her bounds with one of his own. Her sweet scent was in the snowy air, caressing his palate with ever breath he took. He barely noticed her pace slow down as she scented the deer that were quickly approaching. Snapping out of his trance when almost bumping into the grey wolf, Kole quickly sunk down next to her with a slightly embarrassed sidelong glance. He scooted over to brush shoulders with the alpha, making sure she knew that he had her back. His ears twitched in the direction of the prey, his eyes scanning readily for the first sign of the deer that he could now smell. I faint glimpse of red caught his attention and it clicked in his mind almost as soon as he noticed the contrast of color. Whisper lay in wait for a spooked deer. Kole grinned at the trickery and silently praised the red wolf in his mind.

Whisper crouched in the dense grass, worried that her red fur would stand vividly against the slight amount as snow. She grinned as Kole took his place beside Kipxin, it was about time something had happened. Whisper's heart felt a small pang, wishing that Azreal was there with her. She pushed it aside, still unsure if she wanted the romance to happen. She knew that if she wanted to she could open up to him, knew that if she let her feelings control her and allowed his feelings to as well the fire inside him would melt the ice that she had put up, but she wasn't sur she wanted that. The barrier was what had kept her from tipping over a void, she didn't want to face that again. She studied the dear, hoping the alpha would make am move soon, as her mouth salivated, drool collecting as she anticipated the meat. She glanced at Kole, who seemed to see her and grinned, this was going to be fun. The trap was set, now all Kipxin had to do was spring it. With Kole in her shadow and Whisper crouched, waiting for her next move, she knew it was time.
Her eyes narrowed on her prey - their prey, and a rumble began in her throat. Muscles tensed and ready to spring, she leaned backwards, and using the coiled energy she had accumulated she shot forward, grey legs pounding in great leaps against the fresh fallen snow and she let out a large bark.
The hunt was on.
She was gaining on the deer whose head shot up from the small patch of remaining grass it was grazing on and it's eyes darted in all directions, trying to spot the alpha and her pack. With a great leap, the deer along with its herd began taking off once more.
Kipxin couldn't help but grin - this was her favorite part.
She loved the chase.
